Powiem szczerze, ze wcale sie nie dziwie jesli to prawda, ze maja zamiar skonczyc Passions. Serial zrobil sie beznadziejny i juz nawet Sheridan i Luis go dla mnie nie ratuja.

A co do koncowek soap oper to SB mial calkiem ladne zakonczenie, rozwiazujace wszystkie watki Nie pamietam tylko jak bylo z Another World, a skonczyl sie przeciez jak juz sie interesowalam soapkami...

NBC, widać nie ma szczęścia do soapek. I to przeniosło się do Direct TV, mający chyba ok 15 mln abonentów. NBC jakiś czas temu zakończył również "Generations", czyli znane nam "Pokolenia".
Nie wiem, czym kierowali sie właściciele Direct TV, może nie chcieliwydawać zbyt dużo kasy na tę produkcję, zbyt mała liczba widzów przekłada się na niewielkie wpływy z reklam (o ile Chammel 101 nadaje reklamy). Powody mogą być różne.

Wracając do "Pokoleń" pamiętam, że serial nie zakończył się normalnie. Jeden z bohaterów miał zawał o ile pamiętam i pojawił się napis "to be continued". Mogę podejrzewać, że "Passions" skończy się podobnie.

Jest już potwierdzenie ze strony aktorów, że "Passions" się kończy. Liza Huber też napisała na swoim forum wiadomość:

Yes, it is true that Passions will finish taping at the end of March 2008. We will start airing 3 days a week on DirecTV which should last through summer of 2008. It has been a wonderful ride (although Gwen has completely lost her mind!) and I want to thank all of you for your amazing support for Passions through the years!

"Passions" było najchętniej oglądanym programem na kanale 101. Mimo to, serial nie przyciągnął tylu abonentów ile oczekiwano do zapisania się do DirecTV - dlatego też zostaje zdjęty z anteny.

Actors speak out on Passions’s cancellation…..
Eric: “It kind of blindsided us. We were looking forward to a long future with Directv.”

Emily: “We were suppose to get work of the show’s renewal the week prior to Thanksgiving and then that Friday, the powers that be said, ‘Just kidding, we’re gonna tell you next week.’ Then that week went by and they said,’We’re gonna tell you next week,’ so we kind of figured that that’s not a good sign and something was going on with negotations.”

Still, both actors have hope that the show will go on. “The buzz is that they’re pitching it to other networks, like the Oxygen channels,” says Harper. “We’ll see, because we are hanging on by a thread right now. But this show has had nine lives so you never know! Since we’ve moved to Directv, the show’s added in more comedy and I love that. I’m having a great time right now, and I love my castmates. All of that would definitely be missed.”

“We thought it was a farewell a year ago, and then we got picked up again,” notes Martsolf. “I think our producers might have tricks up their sleeves. There are so many outlets and channels that need programming. There’s probably a place out there for it. I hope so.”

In the meantime, the actors are planning to go out with a bang. “Everyone’s sad, but it’s not all gloom and doom,” says Martsolf. “Right now, we’re on hiatus through February 1, so it doesn’t feel quite real, but when we get back, it will be business as usual. It’s such a weird time in the industry right now,” he sighs. “It seems like a cliché, but the folks who stuck with Passions understood what the show as about, and we really appreciate them having so much support for us. In this day and age when shows are being canceled after two episodes, fans are lucky if they get two years of a show. We’re very fortunate to have lasted nine years.

[center]Fancy loses her mind[/center]
Pretty ups the ante in her quest to win Luis from Fancy when she decides to once again activate the behavior-altering chip that she and Alistair placed in her sister’s head. While Fancy is spending time with Luis, Sheridan and Marty, Pretty turns on the device. Just as Luis is praising how great Fancy is with Marty, Fancy screams at the little boy, scaring him to tears. Luis attempts to stand up for Fancy, but a furious Sheridan demands that her niece stay away from Marty. Still, Pretty isn’t yet finished messing with Fancy. “There’s a new switch on the chip’s remote control that Pretty takes advantage of,” hints Harper. “Let’s just say that it involves Noah.”

Pretty ugly-It’s become quite common for soap characters to end up hitting the sheets while trapped together, but Passions hit a new all time low when Alistair kidnapped Luis and Pretty, held them prisoner in a basement warehouse, demanded that Lo-Fitz impregnate Al’s virginal granddaughter and then actually watched them do the deed. Blech!

"Oficjalny komunikat odnośnie przyszłości serialu zostanie wydany przez NBC i DirecTV na początku miesiąca" - tak głoszą wszelkie źródła internetowe i media. Plotka niesie, że NBC już od dawna prowadzi rozmowy z poszczególnymi nadawcami zainteresowanymi serialem m.in. Oxygen. Nawet gdyby serial otrzymał "trzecie życie" i zawitał na antenie Oxygenu, część aktorów zapowiedziała, że nie zgodzi się na dalszą współpracę. Prawdą jest, że wiele nadawców jest chętnych do zakupienia serialu, jednak NBC nie patrzy na chęci lecz na fakt, ile pieniędzy może od potencjalnego kupca wyciągnąć. Inną możliwością jest przekształcenie "Passions" w serial online, gdzie możnaby odbierać go wyłącznie internetowo za stosowną opłatą oczywiście. Zatem, fani czekają.
A sama ekipa serialu zorganizowała kilkudniowy rejs statkiem z aktorami serialu, który rusza już pod koniec marca.

Passions: Theresa is alive!
That's the good news. The bad news is that Ethan doesn't know it. Gwen, of course, uses this an an opportunity to re-ignite romance with Ethan, but he doesnt feel the same way. "His only reason for being with Gwen is to have a motherly figure for the children. Right now Ethan is focused on being a dad and tending to a grieving Little Ethan, the way any father would," says Eric Martsolf. Seeing as how so many people come back from the dead in Harmony, why is Ethan so quick to assume Theresa is gone? Martsolf smiles," Let's face it...if male characters get too smart too soon, the storylines would be over in a week." At the end of the week, viewers get their first glimpse of a back from the dead Theresa.

Thumbs Down-Separation Anxiety...We realize that romantically paired characters need a certain amount of drama in their storylines. Howver, Passions has gone completely overboard in keeping Fancy and Luis apart. Currenty, several people are conspiring to break them up. Sheridan slept with Luis, thanks to Tabitha putting a spell on the,, and is now using their son, Marty, as a pawn in keeping him from seeing Fancy. Meanwhile, Alistair forced Luis to sleep with Pretty--who wants Luis for real--and has been manipulating Fancy's behavior by a computer chip that she and Al impanted in her sister's brain...huh? We like the idea of the three Crane heiresses going after him, but there are plenty of organic ways this could work. That Luis and Sheridan would reconnect while caring for Marty makes sense. As for Pretty, why couldnt she and Luis bond over a simple interest? Watching a couple beat the odds is fun,but when all of the odds are against them, we'd prefer they just stay apart.

Kay tries to convince Tabitha that they don't have to worry about the Demon Elf anymore. As the Elf hides, he vows to destroy Kay and Tabitha. Noah tells Paloma she is the only woman he wants in his life. Juanita abducts Marty. Sheridan blames Luis for Marty's disappearance. Luis tells Sheridan he will stop at nothing to get back Marty. Tutaj natomiast zostawię super scenkę, która miała emisję kilka tygodni temu. Theresa w drodze do Meksyku, wyobraża sobie, że jej życie to telenowela meksykańska. Super scenki!!!! Mnóstwo śmiechu! Eric, Lindsay i Liza są fantastyczni jako Latynosi, a Andrea Evans (która pojawia się w drugiej części) wręcz nie do opisania. Genialna!!

Ja jestem kurcze strasznie do tylu z Passions, chyba z miesiac juz nie ogladalam... Niestety ostatnio mam tak malo czasu, ze nawet moj kochany GH lezy odlogiem na dysku... LOL

Nie kumam paru rzeczy. Skoro wielce cierpiąca matka Pilar, tak bardzo chce pomścić córkę to czemu nie ruszy swoim okruchem mózgu i nie powie Ethanowi, że to Gwen i Rebecca skontaktowały się z Juanitą i, że to Gwen puściła ją wolno? Co za kretynka!! Nienawidzę Pilar. Gdybym miał taką matkę to chyba pociąłbym się od razu. Druga sprawa - Little Ethan. Teraz skoro Theresa rzekomo nie żyje, a wszyscy wiedzą, że Pilar zabiła rodzinę Juanity po gwałcie, to co jeszcze trzyma ją przed tym, żeby wyjawić sekret? Co z niej za matka, co za babka? Ta kobieta naprawdę powinna się rozstrzaskać w tej eksplozji, bo na nic innego nie zasługuje..

Druga rzecz, która mnie potwornie irytuje to fakt, że nagle wszystkie Crane'ówny uganiają się za Luisem. Nie tylko Fancy, ale i Pretty i Sheridan. Dziwne jest to, że nagle wszystko stoi na przeszkodzie Luisowi i Fancy i że oboje tak łatwo dają się wmanipulować w intrygi Pretty. I gdzie u licha jest Esme, która przejrzała Pretty na wylot?

PASSIONS: Theresa has reached Pilar by phone, but a bad connection keeps her from letting her mother know she is alive. Theresa demands that the government agent let her go home, but he refuses. She is given access to the Harmony surveillance cameras and allowed to watch her loved ones, but not be a part of their lives. Pilar is bolstered by the news that Noah and Paloma and Kay and Miguel's double wedding is back on track. Ethan and Gwen celebrate the start of their new life together. Gwen's plans are ruined when Ethan announces he wants to adopt Little Ethan as his own. As Noah, Paloma, Fancy and Luis argue over yet another misunderstanding, Pretty watches from the shadows, the controlling device in her hand, plotting her next deadly move to keep Fancy and Luis apart.

Vivian Gray to Appear on Passions

Passions will be getting yet another telenovela cross over to add to its history soon. Accomplished genre actress Vivian Gray will be appearing as Elena beginning on Monday, March the 17th. She'll quickly become well-versed in the continuing saga of Ethan and Theresa when the "dead" daughter of the saintly Pilar meets her on a train. Any details about the future of the character are yet to be revealed.

Gray may be familiar to audiences from 2006's MyNetworkTV venture into telenovela, Desire, on which she played seductress Suzy Edwards. While that show didn't last long, she made an impression on many viewers and Soaps.com is happy yo see her back again. Previous to that experience, the Scottish born, Mexican actress appeared on telenovela Valeria y Maximiliano and in the film Sangre Joven, which she also produced and wrote. The young actress began her career before the cameras as a child, subsequently attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and the Tisch School for the Arts at New York University. She recently appeared in the direct-to-DVD thriller Juarez, Mexico

Theresa trapped in Mexico. Theresa is alive and well, but still stuck in Mexico. She manages to make a phone call home and reach Pilar, but the connection is poor and her mother cant hear her. Even worse, the corrupt government agent who's holding her in custody refuses to help her. He informs Theresa that she's "dead" and will remain that way---and if she tries to escape, her family will be harmed. She's later allowed to watch video surveillance of her loved one, but is forbidden to contact them. Meanwhile, back in Harmony, Gwen is thrilled to begin her new life with Ethan. However, he plans begin to fall apart when a grieving Ethan cant stop thinking about Theresa. He becomes ber upset when he finds Gwen and Rebecca throwing away his beloved's belongings. In Mexico, Theresa finally escapes---but an angry Juanita is still on the loose.

Kissy czyli Amy z "Sunset Beach" zmieniła widze fryzurkę i od razu jakaś akcyjka z nią, szkoda że nie wciągnąłem się w ten serial dawniej tam się z pewnością dużo dzieje. Chociaż te fantastyczne wątki są chyba zbyt często.

Właśnie skończyłem lekturę odcinków z tego tygodnia (dobrze, że dają po trzy, bo przy czwartym zawsze "przymyka" mi się oko jak oglądam maratonem ). W każdym razie odcineczki nawet milutkie dla oka. Głównym plusem była zdecydowanie Krissy Carlson. Fajnie zagrała - nawet nie dało się aż tak odczuć, że to nie Emily a Krissy jest Fancy. Na napisach pojawił się komunikat (Temp Fancy), więc jej udział był chwilowy. Nareszcie, nareszcie!! Ten implant wypadł z nosa Fancy - trochę się zdziwiłem, że Noah go wziął do ręki... W każdym razie Pretty to idiotka totalna, a Sheridan niestety zaczyna podzielać jej strukturę umysłową. Czy one naprawdę wierzą, że jak zabiją Fancy to Luis będzie "ich"?
Mina Gwen po tym jak dowiedziała się, że Ethan chce zaadoptować małego, była bezcenna. Dobrze wstrętnej suce! Natomiast nudzące troszkę były scenki z Theresą i tym agentem w Meksyku - gadali, gadali i w sumie żadnego pożytku z tej gadki nie było. Nie wiem czy dało się odczuć, ale rolę agenta grał nikt inny jak Randy Vasquez z "Brygady Acapulco". Dobrze, że Theresie udało się uciec. Mam nadzieję, że Juanita jej nie rozstrzelała w tym "boxie", ale znając nieśmiertelność i skłonności do zmartwychwstania Theresy, nie wierzę w to.

Theresa comes home. After being held by a corrupt customs official, Theresa escapes. However, she still has to fell from the evil Juanita, who wants to see Theresa dead. With the help of a new friend, Elena, Theresa manages to get a ride on a train leaving town. Back in Harmony, Pilar mourns her daughter. Ethan is having a more difficult time moving on. Ivy urges her son to make a new life with Gwen, while Rebecca suggests tht Gwen have sex with him as soon as possible. Gwen proposes to Ethan that they renew their marriage vows for the sake of their son. Ethan, however, keeps hoping that he'll get news of Theresa's survival--unaware of how close she really is.
